Case #010309: Residential Investigation, Auburn, Ala.
This case involves a single-family ranch dwelling in Auburn, Alabama. It is occupied by a husband and wife, their adult autistic daughter, and a small family dog. It is important to note that the client states her family was involved with satanic worship when she was a child with her father as a high priest in the cult. The client states after her father's death when she was 8 years old, her mother took her and her younger sister and fled the cult. The sister has not experienced any paranormal activity.
For this investigation, the following CGPS members were present: Kathy Porter, Ken Curley, Janice Dobbs, Laura Clayton, Ben Clayton, Jimmy Brown and his brother-in-law Yogi.
The claims of activity in this house include objects being thrown and strewn about rooms, voices,shadows,apparitions and growls from unseen entities. The wife, the main client in this case, states she hears the growling in her ears at all times of the day. Her husband corroborates that objects have come crashing to the floor at different times with no one near them. The daughter, although essentially non-verbal, was able to articulate to her mother that something bothers her at night when she tries to sleep. The family dog has been noted to react to unseen things as well. The client also told us that a previous paranormal group that employs a psychic investigated the premises and could see a demon in the corner of the master bedroom. We were given a tour of the home which consists of a living room, kitchen with eating area, hallway, hall bathroom, the daughter's room, guest bedroom and master bedroom and bath. There is also a computer room off the kitchen with attic access. The house sits on a crawl space.
The equipment used on this investigation consisted of: hand-held video cams, IR wireless camera with monitor, digital still cameras and digital audio recorders. The wireless IR camera remained in the master bedroom all night as this was an over night investigation. Digital audio was placed with the IR camera as well. A hand-held camera was placed in the daughter's bedroom for several hours as well. The rest of the house was covered by various teams with hand-held video cams, audio and digital still cams. After several hours of investigation, 5 members of the group slept on the floor with digital audio running all night. Kathy and Ken slept in the guest bedroom with handy cam on along with digital audio both running all night. The IR camera was left in the master bedroom with client's permission. Several members heard voices or growls during the waking part of the investigation, but no one reported anything unusual over night.
Evidence review: two digital stills taken by Ken Curley in the master bedroom showed 2 anomalous irregularly shaped shadows on seprate sides of the room after Ken and Kathy Porter receited the Lord's Prayer. Both masses were partially transparent. Video corroborated that Ken's fingers were not in front of the camera lens at any time. The hand-held cam placed int the daughter's room picked up audio evidence though out of the camera's field of vision. There was a loud, child-like voice that seemed to say "yay!" and another inexplicable word following it. There were several sighs and heavy breathing near the camera as well. The most compelling evidence however is a series of pig-like snorts and grunts extemely close to the camera that the daughter actually reacts to. The audio recorder left over night in the living room picked up a growl, several whispers and a very clear "get out." There was another low growl picked up by audio in the guest bedroom while team members Ben and Laura Clayton were investigating. The reaction to this growl is also documented on the video from the same time. There were audible taps that the audio also picked up from the kitchen area , along with a laugh, 2 hisses and the client's computer shutting down a "window" without being touched by anyone. The computer room door also opened by itself. Although not caught on video, it was seen by all members of the team and the client herself.
The reveal: Members present for the reveal in Auburn, Alabama were; Kathy Porter, Ken Curley and Jason Baird who is an ordained minister. The evidence was presented to the client. Particularly upsetting was the video of the pig-like grunting while the daughter was in bed. The evidence leads us to conclude that there are entities in this home. As to their nature, malevolent or benign, we cannot be sure. Jason Baird presented the client with a cross that we blessed with holy water and hung over the daughter's bed. The team, client then went through each room of the house reading scripture, rebuking any entities and sealing each room, window and door with holy water. We then proceeded outside and blessed each side of the home and then the entire family. We placed another blessed cruxifix over the from door. At the end of the blessing the client admitted that the house felt "lighter". We encouraged the family to stay united and stand firm together and not give any entities attention, or fear to feed upon. As a team we truly feel the activity will subside.

Unknown "knocking" sounds coming from the far side of the client's kitchen.
Growling recorded in the client's kitchen. Not noticed at the time.
This EVP sounds like "Wow". Members of the team heard this in real time.
As Ken was talking in the kitchen, the client suddenly says, "Something just pinched me on the neck, real hard." This EVP captured a loud "pop" just as she was pinched.
This EVP, again recorded in the client's kitchen, sounds like a long stomach growl.
