Case # 032808: Business Investigation, Watkinsville, GA
This case involves the Eagle Tavern and Inn, a historic landmark in the town of Watkinsville, GA. It was built in the 1700s and used to be a stagecoach stop where those arriving on the coach could have a bed to sleep in and a meal. The Inn could also house those passing through on horse back although they were not privileged to a room, but, could have a spot on the Inn’s floor to sleep on- provided they purchased a drink from the bar. While the floors are original, this “two-up/ two-down” building is furnished with period pieces donated by various people.
