Case #052708: Residential Investigation, Newborn, GA
This case involves a single family dwelling. All living spaces are on one level with a central great room. A married couple live here with the wife's mother and two poodles. The house was built by the husband over a period of several years.
The CGPS members on hand for this investigation included; Kathy Porter, Laura Clayton, and Janice Dobbs.
The equipment used included a digital camcorder, digital still camera and digital audio devices.
The activity reported in this case included objects, such as jewelry disappearing, then reappearing in improbable places ( from a locked jewelry box to a boot in the back of a closet), doors opening by themselves and actual physical touch by an unseen force. None of these activities seemed malevelent in nature to the clients. Historically, a woman known as Elmira ( aka Myra), died on the way to the hospital after being found in the house near death. Also, the husband's sister passed. The clients believe it may be one, or both, of these two people still lingering in the house.
The team began their investigation about 8:30 pm in the front bedroom which is presently occupied by the wife's mother. This is the room in which the bracelet disappeared and where the client's mother has noted a light coming on by itself at times. EVP work was done in this room and an investigator's bracelet and digital audio were left on the bed after the team left for another room.
The next room is currently used as an office, but used to house the former owner's antique collection. The client noted that no activity was ever noted in this room.
The great room and master bedroom were covered next. EVP work was done in the master bedroom as well. Several questions were asked to attempt to contact either Myra or Ginger but no objects were moved, noises heard, or doors opened by themselves during the investigation. One thing of note was that investigators Kathy Porter and Janice Dobbs noted feeling a "pressure" at one point. Janice felt as though she was pushed back with a force on her chest, and at the same time, Kathy felt a pressure on her back. No other incidents were noted. The investigation was concluded at around 10 pm, mostly due to a stomach illness with investigator Kathy.
Evidence review: The digital stills taken by investigator, Kathy Porter, didn't reveal any anomalies. The digital audio however was also negative for any EVPs. It is also noted that Laura's video showed no visual or audio anomalies either.
Note: the investigator's bracelet remained unmoved in the front bedroom and no EVPs were noted.
The reveal: The client was advised that no hard evidence was collected. The client also knows that CGPS is at her service and she may call us at any time to investigate furthur. The client is also satisfied that there was never any maliciousness to the occurances in her home.
Conclusion: Possible further investigation could shed more light in this case.
