Case #073011: Gaither's Plantation, Covington, GA

CGPS members present: Kathy Porter, Ken Curley, Laura Clayton, Ben Clayton, Larissa McGibbony, Cindy Norwood, Leann Boggs, Jason Baird, Kristen Bird, Alex Lopez

Equipment used: digital still cameras, digital audio recorders, IR DVR system, K2 meters, EMF gauges

CGPS has investigated this location before and there is definite spirit activity present. On this night, the group split up between the main house and Holly Springs Church located on the property as well. In the church there were definite footsteps heard and shadows seen as well as knocks in response to questions. At one point, Alex Lopez placed a dime on the arm of a pew and the dime disappeared only later to be heard being tossed and found on the seat of another pew. In the main house, there were obvious footsteps from the attic and the front screen door could be heard slamming shut without anyone being outside or near it. During set up, Ken Curley was walking up the basement stairs after setting the laser grid up and he heard a voice say in a low, gravely tone, “You son of a bitch.” There were no recording devices in the basement at the time.

The entire group also investigated the store on the property as well as the overseer’s cabin and a small shed.

As was said of the previous investigation, there is definitely spirit activity on the premises and this has been conveyed to the caretaker as well.
