The clients in this tri-level house state that their 2 year-old daughter has been seeing the apparition of an old man. This apparition first appeared by the swing set on the front lawn, but the daughter has since stated she sees the man in various places in the house as well. The daughter also sits up in bed at approximately 1 am. each morning screaming. She doesn’t appear to be completely awake at these times. The family is contemplating moving due to the daughter’s distress.

CGPS members present: Cindy Norwood, Laura Clayton, Ben Clayton and Kathy Porter.

Equipment used: DVR system with IR cameras, hand held video camera, digital still cameras, digital audio recorders, EMF gauges, K2 meters and laser grid projector, and full spectrum video camera.

During the course of the night the members split up on all levels of the house. It is said that the master bedroom is very active as well. While in that room, no investigators felt uncomfortable. As the evening progressed, it was noted that Laura thought Cindy called her name, but she had not. While in the living room, Cindy reported seeing a shadow break the laser grid up at ceiling level. She could not re-create this effect. Also, while in the living room, Kathy was sitting in the recliner near the kitchen doorway and felt 3 distinct bumps against the chair. Also, Kathy thought Cindy whispered her name as well when she did not. Kathy also heard a whisper she thought came from Laura who was sitting on the living room floor but she had not said anything. Kathy and Ben also thought they heard a voice at one time in the living room as well. The interesting event was that at approximately 1 am the electromagnetic field in the entire house rose. Both the K2 and EMF meters confirmed the readings. The readings were especially high in the bedrooms and near each bed. Kathy and Ben checked the wiring in the basement and no abnormal readings were present. Ben and Laura discovered that the EMF field continued to be high in a line correlating to the lines coming into the house.
 
Both Kathy and Laura spoke to Snapping Shoals EMC and Walton EMC respectfully. Kathy was told by a technician that the current is regulated and should not spike that significantly coming into the house. Laura spoke to a lineman who states that during the late night and early morning hours there is less draw on the energy in the lines so it could possibly spike. Walton EMC was going to send out a tech to investigate the lines coming into the house for excessive EMF leakage.

Client reveal: the clients moved from the Jersey location the week after the investigation. Since moving to Social Circle they haven’t experienced anything out of the normal and their daughter has no trouble sleeping. The daughter also does not mention the man anymore. The evidence did reveal one EVP obtained in the master bedroom. Investigator Kathy was asking that if anything was present in the room with her could it show itself and the reply was a whispered “No.”.  It was also explained to the clients about the EMF field differences and how EMF affects some people who may be sensitive to changes in the electromagnetic field. The clients were satisfied with the evidence. They are advised to call CGPS if they need us at all.
