This location involves a small rental house that has been vacant for some years now. According to the client it was built in the 1800’s and sits on land that once encompassed a plantation. After the Civil War the plantation was divided up and some land was given to the former slaves of the plantation. It is believed that this house once belonged to one of the former slaves.  The house consists of two front rooms, a central kitchen, laundry room, single bath and small bedroom in the back of the house. The claims in this house range from footsteps, voices, drum cadence, shadows and feelings of being watched. The client is especially uneasy in the back bedroom.

CGPS members present: Kathy Porter, Laura Clayton, Debbie Bird, Cindy Norwood, Jason Baird and Kim Durden.

Equipment used: DVR camera system, hand held video camera, full spectrum video camera, digital audio recorders and digital still cameras.

Throughout the night CGPS members experienced hearing footsteps, several “pops” from the front room and even hearing several breaths close to their ears. Debbie also thought she heard her name called close to her ear. Two members, Laura and Jason, stepped outside to retrieve batteries from a vehicle and on the way back in Jason heard a voice in his ear say , “baby.” Nothing unusual noted on the video. It is of note that before setup, Debbie believed she saw a shadow move from right to left ( as you face the front of the house) across the porch.

Evidence review: the review yielded several EVPs. No video or digital still anomalies noted.

Client reveal: the client and his family were presented with the audio evidence as well as recounted personal experiences. It is the belief of CGPS that this location is haunted. The EVPs seemed to indicate a male presence attempting to interact with the investigators. We are invited back at anytime by the client.
